Appearance: Very slender, platinum colored hair with streaks of purple, generally wears an all white mask with no features on it what so ever save for eye holes with a tear coming from each. She has porcelain white skin; it’s very hard to tell where her mask begins and ends. She wears black and grays colored garbs to blend in better with darker spaces and the crowd. Usually has her hood up over her hair.
Background: Left to fend for herself at a young age, Aria had to resort to sneaking around and stealing food and money to survive. Most of the time she got away, but she made the mistake of picking the pocket of an assassin in the service of The Guild. She almost managed to get away from him, but he caught her at the last minute. Instead of being angry, he was rather impressed that she almost managed to lose him at such a young age. It brought back bad memories of him. So he decided to do something about it to ease his pain.
Shinigami Jax (30th level assassin), as what he later introduced himself as, offered her a position as his apprentice. Unwilling to accept that offer at first due to the fact that it seemed too good to be true, she tried to escape again, but failed horribly. After some time of thinking about Jax’s offer, she accepted the offer (and the money involved), and began her training shortly there after. She excelled at infiltrating and executing her targets without ever getting caught. She earned the nickname “Ghost” because of her stealth abilities and her porcelain white skin. Later in her training, Jax, who followed the teaching of The Raven Queen, imparted on her his beliefs. She wasn’t willing to take them on at first, but after a while, the ideals of The Raven Queen grew on her and she decided to follow in her master’s footsteps.
Towards the end of her training and the end of the Last War, Aria was assigned a mission that required her to kill several fairly high ranking officials for a good sum of money. Jax objected saying that it would be suicide to send a fledgling assassin on such dangerous mission alone. While Aria was somewhat hesitant (though the promise of money helped to lessen that), she decided that she needed to prove herself to The Guild and to Jax that she was very capable; and prove herself she did. She returned after only 5 days with the heads of all the officials she had been asked to kill. Not only was Jax impressed, but so was The Guild. As a gift for coming back alive and well (as well as successful), Jax gave her a pair of Ghoststride Boots.
Some time after that, The Guild assigned Jax to a very secretive mission. Jax, having a bad feeling about it, gave his pupil his most prized possessions: a white mask with no features on it save for eye holes that had one blue tear coming from each one and a book of acquaintances and connections that Jax had acquired over the years. As he handed them over, he smiled at her as a father would his daughter. “This will be the last we see of each other for a long time, my little Aria.” With that said, he hugged her and bade her farewell. That was the last time she saw him. As a personal vendetta, she finds and asks Jax’s acquaintances for information in regards to her master whenever she goes out of town.
